Dr. Sammy Hanna is a highly experienced consultant orthopedic hip and knee surgeon with over 14 years of experience, garnered in the United Kingdom and Canada.
Dr. Hanna completed his residency at the prestigious Royal National Orthopedic Hospital in London and advanced fellowship training in hip and knee surgery at the Rorabeck-Bourne Joint Replacement Institute at the University of Western Ontario in Canada.
He has expertise in partial knee replacements, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements. Prof. Dr. Hanna is a certified FIFA surgeon and has vast experience in managing football-related hip and knee injuries. He is also a senior clinical lecturer at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London, where he is actively engaged in research, teaching, and education. He has published extensively on key aspects of hip and knee surgery, with over 65 papers to his name.
Dr. Hanna remains an active researcher, exploring implant design, performance, and wear patterns, and evaluating the outcomes of total hip and knee arthroplasty.
Prior to joining Mubadala Health in Dubai, he had a busy clinical and academic practice in London. In addition, his work at the London Clinic in Harley Street and the Cromwell Hospital contributed to his diverse range of experience.
