Dr. Pratikkumar Makwana

Biography

Dr. Makwana is a Specialist Anesthesiologist with nine years of experience in Anesthesia.

Dr. Makwana qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2011 from Sardar Patel University, India. He then went on to complete his residency from BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad, India. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Makwana obtained his Doctor of Medicine in Anesthesia (MD Anes) from Gujarat University in 2015.

Dr. Makwana has been instrumental in fostering clinical excellence and patient-centric healthcare. His contributions extend to formulating and implementing hospital care, patient services, and medical programs while ensuring a compassionate approach from both medical and non-medical hospital staff. His skill set encompasses the seamless management of hospital operations, enhancing patient satisfaction, ensuring planned profitability, and overseeing anesthesia administration across all surgical specialties for patients of all ages, including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Prior to joining Mubadala Health Dubai, Dr. Makwana worked at Medcare Orthopedics and Spine Hospital, Dubai, as a Specialist Anesthesiologist.

Dr. Makwana’s scope of practice includes spearheading preoperative assessment, surgery preparation, preoperative advisory, intraoperative anesthetic management, and postoperative ICU care and pain management.
