Dr. Mehreen Sarwar

Biography

Dr. Mehreen Sarwar is a highly experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist, with over 20 years of practice in the field.

She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Punjab, Pakistan, in 1997. Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Mehreen completed a structured 5-year postgraduate training program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in London, UK. She became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in 2013. Additionally, she is an active member of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health UK, the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan, and a Fellow of the International Association of Aesthetic Gynaecology. Dr. Mehreen also holds certification as a Waterbirth Provider. Throughout her career, she has been a dedicated educator, serving as an Assistant Professor of OBGYN at Lahore Medical & Dental College, Pakistan, and at the University of Birmingham, UK.

Before joining Mubadala Health Dubai, Dr. Mehreen served as a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Zia Medical Center, Dubai, UAE, since 2018. She also gained extensive experience working at Russells Hall Hospital Dudley Group NHS, an accredited Regional Endometriosis Centre for West Midlands. Dr. Mehreen is well-versed in handling all obstetric emergencies in labor and delivery, performing laparoscopic and hysteroscopic operations for the diagnosis and treatment of benign gynecological conditions, screening and diagnosing gynecological cancers, and managing a wide range of conditions including menstrual disorders, menopause, PCOS, and sexually transmitted infections.

Scope of Practice

Obstetrics: Dr. Mehreen’s expertise in obstetrics encompasses the management of all types of high-risk pregnancies with medical complications, as well as various birth procedures including normal and instrumental deliveries, elective and emergency cesarean sections, and vaginal birth after cesarean. She offers pre-conception counseling and treatment for women with medical comorbidities, recurrent miscarriage, subfertility, and previously complicated pregnancies. Additionally, she provides expert postnatal care.

infections, vaginal prolapse, and urinary incontinence. She is proficient in both open and laparoscopic gynecological surgeries, as well as hysteroscopy.
