Dr. Ithar Alkheder

Biography

Dr. Ithar Alkheder is a Specialist Ophthalmologist with 13 years of experience, known for his expertise in general ophthalmology and comprehensive eye examinations.

He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Aleppo University, Syria, and a Master's degree in Ophthalmology from the Ministry of Health, Syria. Dr. Alkheder is board-certified by the Syrian Board Authority and has advanced training in retina diseases from Aleppo Eye Surgery Hospital. He also holds a Diploma in Pediatric Optometry from the University of Isabel, Spain.

With extensive experience in both the UAE and Syria, Dr. Alkheder has worked at prestigious institutions such as Medcare Eye Centre, Prime Hospital, Al Tadawi Hospital, Al-Kalimat Hospital, Al-Assi Hospital, and Aleppo Eye Surgery Hospital. His research includes corneal ulcer diagnosis and treatment, and he has presented on penetrating glaucoma surgery at international conferences.

Dr. Alkheder is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the European Society of Retina (Euretina), and the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS).
