Biography
Dr. Hasan Baydoun is a highly regarded Orthopedic Surgeon with over 15 years of experience, garnered in the United States and the Middle East.
Specializing in Shoulder Surgery and Sports Medicine, Dr. Baydoun began his medical journey at the prestigious American University of Beirut where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He then pursued his passion for orthopedic surgery by completing his residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Seeking to further enhance his skills, he embarked on a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the renowned Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University, working under the guidance of the distinguished Dr. JP Warner.
Dr. Baydoun sought additional training in advanced shoulder reconstruction techniques. To accomplish this, he embarked on an apprenticeship with esteemed orthopedic surgeons Prof. Pascal Boileau and Prof. Gilles Walsh in Nice, France. Upon returning to the United States, Dr. Baydoun established a successful practice in Pittsburgh, where he honed his surgical skills and furthered his clinical expertise.
However, his desire to make an impact in his home country led him to return to Lebanon in 2016. There, he played a pivotal role in founding the Sports Medicine Program at the American University of Beirut, and established the region's first Sports Medicine fellowship.
Dr. Baydoun's impressive credentials extend beyond his clinical achievements. He served as Assistant Team Physician for esteemed professional sports teams such as the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Bruins. Additionally, he is a sought-after speaker, sharing his expertise at national and international meetings. He actively contributes to the field through his involvement in the editorial boards of multiple journals and as a valued member of several societies within the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Recognized for his dedication to research, Dr. Baydoun has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, making significant contributions to the advancement of orthopedic surgery. His outstanding clinical and research activities have earned him several prestigious awards, underscoring his commitment to excellence and patient care.
