Dr. Dongwook Lee is a distinguished Occupational Therapist with over 15 years of experience, specializing in upper extremity rehabilitation, neurorehabilitation, and sensory integration therapy. He obtained his Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Boston University, where his doctoral project focused on the entitlement and support programs for People of Determination in the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Lee serves as the Chief Research Officer at Sensory EL, a child development and research center.
He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on patient experience, rehabilitation, and healthcare system improvements in collaboration with leading institutions in the US, including The Ohio State University, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, Hines VA Hospital, and RTI International.
Prior to joining Mubadala Health Dubai, Dr. Lee has held positions as an Occupational Therapy Team Leader at Korehab Clinic, Senior Occupational Therapist at Dubai Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Center, and Occupational Therapist at Bobath Memorial Hospital. He has also served as a columnist for Able News, where he discusses disability rights and inclusion.
