Dr. Yazan Hatem Hassouna

Biography

Dr. Yazan Hatem Hassouna is a highly skilled and experienced General Surgeon with over 13 years of dedicated service in the field of medicine.

Dr. Hassouna completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Misr University for Science and Technology in Egypt. He further pursued his medical career by obtaining a medical degree in General Surgery at Jordan Hospital, Jordan, and achieved accreditation from the Arab Board of Health Specialization in General Surgery.

Dr Hassouna’s special interest in advancing traditional surgeries of anorectal disorders (Hemorrhoids, fistula, fissure, pilonidal cyst…etc) into new and innovative painless minimally invasive methods has appeared early on in his career and made his joining Laven group a natural result.

He is well liked by both his collegues and patients.

Prior to joining Mubadala Health Dubai, Dr. Hassouna has worked as a Specialist General Surgeon at the Laven Clinic Group and Al Zahra Hospital, Dubai.

Field of Expertise 

• Proctology: Offering treatment for hemorrhoids, anal fissure, anal fistula, pilonidal disease, stool incontinence, anal stenosis, and other anal conditions.
• Genital Warts: Providing effective laser solutions for this common condition.
• Skin and Subcutaneous Lesions: Expertise in managing lipoma, sebaceous cysts, and other skin lesions with minimal scars.
