Biography

Dr. Nuwan Karunaratne is a Consultant Geriatrician with over fifteen years of experience in both Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.

Dr. Nuwan runs the Senior Citizens' Health Clinic at Mubadala Health Dubai and consults on the management of complex senior patients with chronic conditions as part of his responsibilities.

He specializes in acute medical conditions in the elderly and provides patients with complete geriatric assessments (CGA) - a multifaceted interdisciplinary procedure that determines an older person's medical, psychological, and functional capabilities to support a coordinated treatment and follow-up plan.
