Dr. Christiana Savvidou is renowned as an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon with over 16 years of medical experience, specializing in adult and pediatric hand surgery.
She completed her Medical Degree and Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the Orthopedic Department of the University of Athens in Greece, followed by fellowships in Hand Surgery at Tampere University in Finland, and Hand and Microsurgery at the Christine M.Kleinert Institute, University of Louisville in Kentucky, USA.
Dr. Savvidou has authored numerous publications in her field, establishing herself as a pioneering figure in hand surgery. Her contributions have been recognized with awards, including the Best Oral Presentation at the ASSH 66th Annual Meeting. She was also instrumental in the Hand Transplantation Program at the University of Louisville Composite Tissue Allotransplantation program. Additionally and notably, Dr. Savvidou has also held numerous teaching positions in Greece and the USA, contributing to the education of future generations of surgeons.
Prior to joining Mubadala Health Dubai, Dr. Savvidou has worked at Danat Al Emarat Hospital, Kings college and Circle Care Clinic and in medical institution in Cyprus, Greece, the USA.
Her scope of practice includes adult and pediatric hand surgery, providing evidence-based advice on non-surgical and surgical treatment options.
