Safeya Al Maqtari

Safeya Al Maqtari is an experienced healthcare executive, who brings forth a wealth of experience in healthcare operations, asset management, and change management. 

In her current role, Safeya is leading the healthcare delivery arm under the M42 umbrella and overseeing the network’s healthcare assets in Dubai and Northern Emirates.    

Safeya has played a pivotal role in leading our healthcare delivery arm and overseeing our network's healthcare assets across the UAE and beyond. She has been instrumental in driving our clinical services growth strategy and integrating newly acquired healthcare assets into our network. Her dedication to service line excellence and growth has positioned our network as a global leader in health delivery. As CEO, Safeya is leading Mubadala Health Dubai in alignment with M42’s vision and commitment to delivering the highest quality healthcare services to its patients and communities.

Prior to her current role, Safeya was a Senior Vice President within Mubadala’s healthcare platform, managing a portfolio of healthcare assets with approximately AED 1.5billion turnover. 

Safeya is a Board Member of United Eastern Medical Services. She held multiple operational roles in the past including being the General Manager at Capital Health Screening Centre. Safeya joined Mubadala in 2008 and focused on business development and the setup of multiple key healthcare projects such as Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Safeya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering Science from the Higher Colleges of Technology Abu Dhabi, as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration from London Business School and has passed CFA level I.  Safeya is also a professionally trained Co-Active coach.
