Dr. Hasan Baydoun is the Associate Medical Director for Surgical Services Operations at Mubadala Health Dubai and an Orthopedic Surgeon with more than ten years of experience in the United States and the Middle East. Shoulder surgery and sports medicine are two of his special interests.
Dr. Baydoun completed his medical degree at the American University of Beirut before moving to the United States to pursue his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He then completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University.
Following his fellowship, Dr. Baydoun completed an apprenticeship in advanced shoulder reconstruction with Prof. Pascal Boileau and Prof. Gilles Walsh in Lyon, France. He subsequently practiced in Pittsburgh, USA, for several years before returning to Lebanon in 2016 to help establish the Sports Medicine Program at the American University of Beirut, as well as the region's first Sports Medicine fellowship.
Dr. Baydoun has served as an Assistant Team Physician for the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Bruins, and a variety of other professional, collegiate, and high school teams.
He has also lectured at numerous national and international meetings, serves on the editorial boards of several journals, and is an active member of several committees of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Baydoun is involved in research, has articles published in peer-reviewed journals, and has received several awards for his clinical and research activities.
In addition to his position as Associate Medical Director for Surgical Services Operations at Mubadala Health Dubai, he continues to serve as the Head of the orthopedic department at Healthpoint, a Mubadala Health Partner, which has one of the largest orthopedic programs in the UAE.
